Review: HootSuite Makes Social Media Easy

HootSuite: Social Media Tools for Business

Hootsuite allowed me to try out their pro version, so I could provide you this review.

Time management is a problem for me.  I am a busy mom with two active kids.  I find it difficult sometimes to find time to write on my blog and post to Facebook and Twitter.  That is where HootSuite comes in.

A friend of mine suggested to me several months ago that I use  HootSuite to manage my posts for social media.  I tried it and I love it!  There are times when I find lots recipes or tips and I want to share them.  Instead of posting 10-15 posts at once, I schedule them to be shared throughout the week using  HootSuite .  You can use HootSuite to schedule posts on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Foursquare,, WordPress, Myspace, and mixi (Google + is available for Enterprise level users)
HootSuite Pro - Social Media Dashboard

There is a easy to use social management dashboard that allows you to see all your posts and replies from one dashboard. Where applicable (like Twitter) you can attach documents and convert URLs to short URLS for posts. You can schedule your messages time and date to be posted too.  On top of that, they provide security, analytics engagement and team collaboration.  Right now HootSuite is offering a 30 day free trial of HootSuite Pro.  After your trial, Base Pro is affordably priced at just $5.99/month.

I get an email every week that shows me recent activity.  I can see what I posted through HootSuite received activity.  It’s pretty neat. I would recommend checking out using this as its a great time management tool to use.

  6. I just started my design blog and I was wondering how I could manage all of my social media accounts. This service looks really promising. I really like the idea of managing all accounts from one dashboard.

  7. I’ve been in the market for a new program for handling twitter. Tweetdeck seems to be so sluggish and unresponsive these days. Time to move on!
