Apple Crisp #recipe

I made this recipe and doubled the crisp so the entire top was covered with crisp.

You should use soft apples, like granny smith or fugi, or the apples won’t soften.

Apple Crisp


  • 4 cups tart cooking apples chopped and peeled
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 5 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon


  1. Place the chopped apples in a greased shallow pan (square pan works).
  2. Sprinkle the lemon juice over the apples.
  3. In a bowl combine the remaining ingredients and stir until mixed thoroughly.
  4. Sprinkle mixture over the apples.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
