Savory BBQ Ribs

These are pork ribs, cooked in the crock pot for 6 to 8 hours on low.  I don’t cook them as often as my family would like, but they are always gone when I do.

BBQ Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1 rack of ribs
  • BBQ Sauce (bottle of bbq sauce, sugar, yellow mustard, honey, red peppercorns, vinegar)
  • Lemon pepper

Instructions

  1. Put a liner in your crockpot.
  2. Place the ribs in the crockpot ( I cut in 1/2 or thirds)
  3. Sprinkle lemon pepper over the ribs and give a good coating.
  4. In a bowl mix 1 bottle honey bbq sauce, 1/2 cup honey, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon vinegar, 1/4 cup yellow mustard, 1/2 teaspoon red peppercorns.
  5. Pour the mixture over the ribs, cover and cook 6-8 hours on low.
  6. They are done when you put a fork in them and they pull apart easy.

  11. Nice recipe! I sometimes wonder how much liquid I need to use with meats.

    • We use a whole bottle, as some of it will caramelize on the crockpot and you want to meat to remain in a wet environment and not dry out while cooking. I hope that helps.

Also consider how much meat you are putting in there, the more meat, the more BBQ sauce you will need.
