I feel the need to share this and tell you to be aware of a bit of a buyer beware situation.
Stores like to discounts items slightly in order for you to think it’s a sale, when the sale isn’t really that significant.
If you look at the below picture, Valentines candy is on sale for .97. It is normally .99, giving you a big savings of just two cents.
There is nothing wrong with marking things down slightly. My point is, before you look at the sales tag and think you are getting a great deal, look and see how much the item is regularly.
Some tags even tell you how much you are saving, so take the time to read this information.
I would hate to see anyone grab a bunch of anything, thinking you are getting an amazing deal, to only find you saved two cents per item.
So read the tags, find out what the price is normally, pair it with the coupon (if possible) and weigh the purchase yourself to determine if it is in fact a good deal.
Did I buy this Valentine candy? Nope. I’m still using Christmas candy for my holidays! I’ll wait for this to go on clearance!
