It is so much cheaper to make things at home rather than going to a restaurant and purchasing a sandwich.
My hubby made these bacon egg and cheese biscuits at home for a fraction of the cost to purchase them at the local fast food joint.
You know what you are getting, you can customize it to your tastes and well, it’s a lot less expensive too!
Buy your ingredients using coupons and this will cost even less!
Ingredients
- Biscuits (We used a container of Grands Biscuits)
- 1 pound bacon cooked
- 8 slices of cheese
- 8 eggs fried (or scramble, which ever you want to do)
Instructions
- Cook the Grands biscuits as the directions state.
- Cook the bacon and place on paper towel/napkins to remove excess grease.
- Fry the eggs individually or scramble the eggs for scrambled eggs.
- Cut a biscuit in half.
- Place a piece of cheese, then egg, then bacon and the top of the biscuit on.
- Repeat until all are made.
Notes
You can just make one at a time, by cooking the biscuits and bacon up and then doing the eggs and adding cheese as required and you've saved yourself a ton on money!

I usually make my own variation of that sandwich too.My son and hubby says its better than the fast places!
I would agree at home is better. I think they lather the bicuits with butter at the fast food joints.
This looks so good, I think we might have to have breakfast for dinner now
I hope it was delicous!
Have you ever tried this with turkey bacon
I’ve only had turkey bacon once and it was ok. So I’m sure it would work as another variation of the recipe! Definitely make it work for your tastes.
Home cooked is much better. (except for clean up)
I would agree the clean up is more work, but you burn caleries, right?
I agree it’s definitely cheaper and much healthier too.
Exactly San!
I certainly agree with you that homemade is cheaper and you can customize it to your liking. Thank you very much for sharing this recipe. I know I will be trying it out. =)
Great Jessica! I hope you enjoy!
i looks good

I agree about cleaning up afterwards! One way that I have recently started to cook bacon is in the oven! It turns out perfect every time.. there is still a mess on the baking sheet! Great recipe I will have to try
I hadn’t thought about cooking the bacon in the oven, have to try that out one of these times!
great idea! can you freeze these?
I would think that you could freeze them (in Tupperware of course).
Thanks for the reminder that home eating is so much cheaper, and usually tastes a lot better!
I would have to agree Michelle. So much better for you.
I agree with you that homemade is cheaper and healthier. I would make these with sausage patties or canadain bacon.
Those sound delicious too Susan! I love the variety!
well it’s settled – I’m making these this week! yum!
Nicole, I hope you enjoyed them!
We usually have 2 Grands left over from dinner – I may use them with this for breakfast!
That would be a perfect use for the left over Grands!
The name of this post is like saying naughty word’s in my house, I love almost everything and every sandwich with bacon on it. The picture’s you have here aren’t helping the matter, now I have to drool a little
Lol. Bacon is awesome Rebecca! We eat it with whipped cream too! Enjoy the recipe!
